    BSA Firebird History lesson

    Hi Guys.. need educating on the BSA Firebird.. when made how long for etc. Mach 1.5

    I just looked up the production dates for the bsa Firebird pcp on Emmett & Stone list,and it states 2001-2005.

    Yes, introduced in 2001. I have just sold my second one, I like them because you can add barrels very easily. Easy to machine the shape needed for the receiver, and two little allen screws to clamp in position.

    I've had a Firebird and two Spitfires.

    Great idea, but not the best of designs seal wise.

    i had the spitfire also , loved its compact design ..A real carbine ..

    I put a full length .25 barrel on my last Spitfire, was shooting at 18ft/lbs, had to turn it down rapidly!

    Something new I’ve just learned there is the Superstar predated the Airsporter RB2. I always assumed (as I thought most people did?) that it was the other way around.

    It is, especially in a Stutzen stock
    Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in
