    Crossman 140

Anyone fitted a scope to one, tried the ratcatcher fittings but didn't work very well??

    theyre ar very few options
crosman did make a mount that would fit them and other models but it was for 3/4" bodied scopes and tbh not much better than the 2240 type ones
another company made a rail aragement that would clamp to the breech body (struggling to remember the name) but again now obsolete
these mounts i made for a benjamin gs397

if i were to scope one of my 140's i'd go this route or mill rails on the breech

I'm sure I saw a 1400 a while ago where scope grooves had been cut just above the pump arm and one of those long eye relief scout type scopes had been fitted.

Thanks for the replies Gents, but don't think I will go down that route.
Have other scoped rifles available and it is a light weight tool so why spoil it.
Shoots nice, eyes getting used to the sights so will keep as is.

Good choice! I never put scopes on my pumpers as they get in the way.
