Welcome to Round 1 of the 2023 B.A.R.C. Series which takes place at Meon Valley Air Gun Club’s Hen Woods grounds on Sunday, 14th May. Start time is 10.00am, preceeded by the mandatory safety briefing that all shooters who are taking part must attend. Signing-in is from 8.30am.

The format is that competitors will shoot a 20 gate/40 target Field Target course (set to current BFTA rules) and a 30 target Hunter Field Target course (set to current UKAHFT rules), with the combined percentage scores making up a shooter’s overall score.

3 other rounds of the BARC will follow (at Womersley – 4th June, Throckmorton – 18 June, and Malden/M.A.D. – 30 July), and your best 2 scores from the 4 rounds will count towards your series total.

Trophies will be awarded as follows:

Open Class: 1st-3rd Place
Recoil Class: 1st Place
Sticks Class: 1st Place

There will also be a cash prize Bonus Bunny, drawn at the end of the competition.

Entry Fee: £20 (which covers both courses)

Directions: The competition takes place at Meon Valley’s Hen Woods grounds; The nearest postcode is GU32 1HY but as this is for a property that is some distance away from the entrance off the road to Hen Woods, we strongly recommend that visitors use the What3Words “Holidays.Polygraph.Hardening”. This will take you to the track that leads up to Hen Woods, off of the road that runs between East Meon and West Meon. Follow the track for approximately 1 mile to the shooting ground, taking the left hand fork after about a third of a mile.

(PLEASE NOTE: Meon Valley Airgun Club has TWO grounds where it stages competitions – please do not go to their other grounds at Wallops Woods!)
