    Cool Sussex Interclub 2023 - Round 1

    Hi Everyone,

Very pleased to (finally) get round to posting the announcement of the 1st round of the 2023 Sussex Interclub HFT. This is scheduled to take place 1 week today - on Sunday 30th April and hosted by the Ford HFT crew.

    The range address is,

    SHOTS,
    Burndell Rd,
    Yapton,
    BN18 0HR

For the What3Words users out there, the 3 magic words are perfectly.acquaint.subtitle

The competition is open to all safe shooters with sub 12ft/lb air rifles from any of the five hosting clubs, Buxted, Ford, Horsham Hawks, Meon Valley, and Mile Oak, as well as members from our established visiting clubs, Iden Fern, Maldon And District and Bisley.

Other individuals are also very welcome to join us, but we would ask you to drop us a line (BBS PM) to let us know your plans.

Gates at SHOTS should open at 8.00am with booking in commencing at 8.30.

Those of you who attended the Southern Hunters Series competition at SHOTS a few months ago, will know that arrangements for booking in are of necessity a little different from days of old. On arrival, please initially book in at the SHOTS office (entrance just inside the gate from the car park). There is a small form to complete and payment to SHOTS is £10 for adults (age 17+) and £5 for Juniors. After completing this, please progress through the office and in to the back of the covered zero range. There you will find us (the SIHFT admin crew) ready to issue you with your score card and take a further £2 (no extra for Juniors) of your precious coinage. You stand to win half of this back if you hang around until the end of the day, when the bonus bunny is drawn PLEASE bring that £2 in coins if at all possible.

The shoot will start at 10.00am after a safety briefing scheduled for around 9.50am. You must attend the safety briefing if you intend to shoot in the competition. Please remember: if you want to shoot with a specific person, do not leave booking-in to the last minute as you may be disappointed!

The course will be set to the current UKAHFT rules. The rules can be found here.

Catering will be provided courtesy of the Ceasefire Café. The café will start serving food from 08.30.

Parking as usual will be in the main car park. Here you will be directed to a parking bay. As the car park and communal areas are open to the public, it's important to keep rifles in their bags, slips, or cases, unless you are on the plinking range or on the course ready to start.

If you have any questions then please feel free to ask, we are here to help! BBS rules say that questions or general event nattering/banter should NOT be here - on the events announcement pages - so please add any to THIS POST post on the general chat room

    All the best
