No images allowed in Pistol section?

I've noticed there seems to be no settings allowed for image posting (using links or BB code) in the pistols section - is this a universal setting or per user?

They don't display though for me, you have to click through to see them. On other parts of the site you can use the BB code image string and it displays the image natively in the thread. I can see at the base of the page that IMG code is off so assume it's set that way for a reason in the pistols section.

It's not an issue I was just curious
