    WW1 adverts

    For reasons I cannot explain, I recently came across these adverts from c.1916, which I thought some others might find interesting:

    I like the claim that the air rifle was an “acceptable” present. No over selling here thank you!

    I like the Gamage's advert, as that's the sort of gear I would wear and use playing cricket in the fifties.

    Personally, I aspire to acceptability. One has to be realistic. Anything more would be asking too much.
