So far the weekend of the 16/17th September sounds good as I would bring down and drop off the family in Sheffield at In-Laws then make my way down to QB II. Similar situation in reverse for return journey.

Good to hear all is well with you John. Sounds like you have the perfect opportunity to make the trip down

The new contractor has no regard for its staff or there well being.
So sorry to hear that, Dave. They sound like a proper outfit of twats. I hope you find a position with a decent employer worthy of your services very soon.

I’ve got a physio follow up on 22nd of this month and a Consultant appointment just to check all is well after six weeks on 4th September.
Feeling so much better now after that first two weeks of feeling quite unwell. Flying along on a single stick, no pain at all, just a bit of discomfort but haven’t needed painkillers for days now, sleeping more comfortably each night. They said on Wednesday that I was well in advance of what they normally experience at this stage.
Hoping I can get my leg over……….

…….. the motorbike and get out for a spin by the end of October.

Sounds like you're making remarkable progress, Pauly. Very well done that man. Great news!

Anything on the horizon, Dave? Will you be wanting to stay in the same line of work (do you have contacts etc?), or do you think you might try something different? I really hope things change positively and very quickly for you.

Not used them before Tone, but may get InTouch with a couple of agencies next week. I don't want to leave it to long as I know what I'm like, I'll get used to not going to work, aahhhhh ,that would be nice
One thing I'm sure of, I really don't want to go back to driving wagons. It is however an option if I can't get anything else, but definitely a last resort.

Thats a right bugger mate and hope you get something sorted soon.

Have you considered the possibility of becoming a male escort?

They've done all this to get round the TUPE regs bud. Did they rip you off on notice payments as well? It looks like they tried to get round redundancy.
If your MP is involved, grass them up to him. (I worry that is a terrible pun.) I hope you're sorted for the next bash.
    Good luck.

    Ain’t that the truth brother

I hated my last place so much due to the massive stress and anxiety it caused me that when I had to leave for my own sanity and health I thought a nice six month break would be perfect and give me time to recharge and reset hmmmm low and behold six months turned into six bloody years

Yeah don’t get used to it Dave and wish you all the very best with finding something pukka bud
