    Tell 3

Noticed this Tell 3 coming up at auction soon with the usual ridiculously low estimate.

Hi Brian, yes that is another silly come and buy me estimate. although the grips should keep it down in price, but you never know, l have seen guns in very poor condition and with parts missing go for a lot more than they should have done. it is so easy to get carried away in the room or more so at home on line. they call it auction fever.

    Hi Micky
Given that a nice Tell 3 can easily fetch around the £1000 mark at auction, I reckon this one should sell for well over the estimate despite its obvious issues.

    A better Tell 3.

A much nicer Tell 3 coming up soon still with a “come and buy” estimation.

Hi Brian, yes that is a much nicer one, the down side for me is that it has been refinished, but the se/no of 926, leads us to think, just how many where made?. a lot more than Beeman would have us believe.

The serial number on that gun, 926, is listed in John Griffiths' book as the "Currently highest reported." However, me also notes that another gun had SN 319 under the rear sight and SN(?) 1329 on the cylinder.

    SN 319 is this one:

Surely there's little chance the 1329 is the serial no.

There was a Tell 3 on eGun some years ago claimed to be no. 1000, but the serial no. was not actually shown.

I agree, and thanks for the link.

That's the first Tell 3 I've ever seen with a serial number (if that's what it is) stamped on top of the gun. I suppose that doesn't mean it's an impossibility, though. Has anyone seen any others?
