Good luck with your next op Tony and get well soon.
Thank you, good peeps.
Vision should be fully sorted well before the next Bash......I have the follow up appointment in early January to make sure all is good with the left eye and then, hopefully, they'll be doing the right. Already, at less than 72 hours after the op, vision through the left eye with no glasses isn't that far behind the right wearing glasses. They'd said that, once settled, I'd still need a mild prescription due to astigmatism and damaged optical nerves, but won't be needing those really strong and thick lenses I've needed for so many years. The issue I have now is that I have two separate images if I wear my glasses (left hand lens now removed, obviously). The image on the right is smaller than the one on the left, so even if you get them lined up, it's not right. And certainly couldn't drive. Waiting for call back from opticians to see if they think this will just settle. If I cover up the left eye, I'd be okay, but need to know if okay to drive. And using computers at work will be a nightmare.
If the right eye op goes as well as this (and this will improve further as it settles over the next few weeks), once all behind me and done it will be a life changer for sure. Just need to get through this weird bit now and it'll be at least six weeks until they could do the right, so we're looking at about six weeks after that.....
Thanks again, good people.

The more I think I know, the more I realise the less I know.
I'd definately check you are ok for prolonged screen use, part of my IT qualifications was office set up etc and even modern screens can take a heavy toll on the eyes so you want to be certain it's not likely to effect the healing process or make things worse and definately do not drive until the picture matches in both eyes as you may not see something and get into a serious accident or worse.
