Diana Model G4
Hello,
I need to put a new piston washer in my Diana G4 airpistol. Can anyone recommend a suitable tool to remove the end cap without damaging the finish? (Perhaps a two pin spanner?)
Thanks,
Euan

Pin spanner, might be your best bet. If you cannot find one to buy they are not hard to make if you have a couple of steel pins the correct diameter, a drill the same size & a suitable piece of metal to mount the pins in. The holes need to be avery close fit & the bar used as the handle needs to be stout enough to exert the force to undo & do up the fitting. The pins need to be well supported so the bar needs to be fairly thick. Additionally the pins should onl protrude enough for them to fully engage the holes in the fitting + a smidge of clearance. Pins made from drill shanks or even nails might do it?
Not keen on the idea but circlip pliers or ground down long nose pliers might do it, but it's not ideal. Slipping, accident, less control, or damage to the finish etc don't know how much pre tension the spring is under.......could be very risky.
What's the recommendation in the 'stripping guide' on this website?

Two pin spanner ?? For removal of end cap
INSERT TWO DRILL SHAFTS OF THE SAME SIZE INTO THE CAP HOLES, CLOSE THE JAWS OF AN ADJUSTABLE SPANNER ON TO THE TWO DRILL SHAFTS, KEEP IT ALL NICE & TIGHT. TURN WITH THE ADJUSTABLE SPANNER
