Sussex Interclub HFT 2023 - Grand Finale (29th October) @ Mile Oak
NOW RESCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY 5th NOVEMBER
G'day one and all.
Are we nearly there yet?
Yes
This Sunday (29th October) sees us meet as a group for the last time this year, when Mile Oak hosts the grand finale of the 2023 Sussex Interclub HFT series.
We will have an HFT course, set mostly to UKAHFT rules, but with a twist or three (possibly 4 or 5) to entertain you.
Be terrific to see everyone who has entered any of this year's SIHFT rounds attend. For those who have entered at least 5 rounds, you need to be present in the event that your name is chosen by the prize draw balls. The draw will be conducted after the shoot is over and the series trophies have been handed out.
'ere's the usual bit
Open to all safe shooters (sub 12lb ft) who are members of the hosting clubs (Buxted, Ford, Horsham, MVAC & Mile Oak), plus any member of Iden Fern, MAD and Bisley.
Other individuals will also be welcomed; all we ask is for a brief heads up that you would like to join us by dropping the host club a PM (that's me - Mike Burgess).
Usual Sussex Interclub format, with the shoot scheduled to start at 10:00, immediately after a Safety Briefing. As you know, you must be at the Safety Brief if you wish to enter the comp.
Booking in will commence around 08:30 and the event will have catering; the usual good quality bacon baps, burgers and coffee/tea/etc..
Please remember that if you wish to partner a specific person or persons (max 3, including you), do not leave booking in too late so that we are more likely to be able to ensure a suitable peg is available
The club address is Mile Oak Rd, Portslade, Brighton BN41 2RF. After driving through the tunnel under the A27, take the first turning on your right. Please drive very slowly (5mph) as you work your way up this farm track where, at the end, parking will be in the field. Driving slowly is not just a choice or request, as the track is somewhat bumpy and rounding a corner without due care and attention is likely to see you confronting a farm vehicle; and we know who's going to win that battle. For those who use it, the what3words location is HERE
Please do NOT forget that the clocks change in the wee hours of Sunday morning and make the necessary adjustment to your timepieces. Failure to do so will mean you're rather too early for the event
Questions welcome in advance.
