Im finding it hard to believe that the power increase on these rifles Pauls went from just about 7ft lbs to 8.5plus. I have now bought a new 177 to see what power i get with this one. im at the moment trying to get a higher quality spring but this will not be until the new year.
    Hi Lyn,
If the spring you are getting is the same spec but longer for the 30 I would be very interested in trying one.

Anyone know the stroke length, just wondering how much it could be increased , see what the potential is for upping the power a little. at 25 mm 11 fpe is available from 70 mm stroke but with a big spring .
I have had a 21 mm tune making power from 70 mm stroke, (on a softish spring) so thinking maybe aim for 10.5 but at a shorter stroke, obviously easier with a .22, I would be wanting it in 177, call me ambitious 🤣.I don't own a 30 so just thinking out loud ☺️

If you get the piston out of the old HW30II and replace the leather washer with an Original Diana 25mm one you can get some extra stroke, or so it seems.

    Sounds brill Paul

I really ought to revisit the 30 as I’ve unfinished business especially with an unfortunate sour taste one left but hoping that one was perhaps a runt.

    30 Tune

Took its bigger brother out today the HW99.This one sports a CS700 stock and a PS Stage 3 tune. Out to the same distance nothing between the 30 and the 99. Mach 1.5

Yes. This you must do, Don. You will not regret it. It might even become your favourite rifle. But you might have to do the anti-galling mods.

Nick would, most likely, mod the piston, fit one of his rings and gain even more stroke, Al.
