Asi scopes and the colour of lettering

Hello Chaps. Long time since I've been on here.

I have several ASI branded scopes from the 70s/80s and some have gold lettering and some have white.

Can you confirm if the gold was on the earlier versions?

Was there a specific change in the scopes when they moved from one colour of script to the other?

    Thanks
    Matty

Yellow writing early ones..I think white letting was around 1984..got a couple of both but had a few over the years. Had a ASI Super Scope 1985 with target turret, front PA and white writing, the same scope also came with Bushmaster and RWS white writing on them..out the same factory but just different branding of course. Hello mate. Thanks for the reply.

    So which factory made them?

    I have 2 of those 1985 target turret 4 x 40 AO scopes. I really like them.

From looking through the two I have one with yellow and one with white writing, the quality seems the same in bright daylight. Not compared in lower light. The scopes are not identical though despite both being the same size.

I noticed the early ones where gloss then started going to the matt finish around the early 80's (1982) know idea who produced these scopes, some will say Hakko but there was other scope factories in Japan turning out quality glass. Mach 1.5

I know I'm being really anal here but I've just pulled out my yellow lettering early 80s 4x40 AO "Superscope" and there is the legend 2105 under the eye bell.

The same 2105 is under the eye bell of my white lettering 4x32 "deluxe"

My earlier yellow lettering 4x32 "deluxe" does not carry this number.

    Could be a factory ID?

Does anyone have an advertisement from early 80s in say an AGW showing all the available scopes and prices? I only have a 1992 edition to go off.

    Thanks
