So......saw the doctor yesterday who I see re the eye injections. No fluid and the back of the eye looking good. So no more injections, hopefully. Follow up visit in approx 6 months.

New glasses sorted. So the car's getting sorted next Tuesday and I'll be driving again. And just in time for The Bash. Yay!

It's been quite a long journey - no driving for five months - but we're nearly there. There will be some things that I'll miss about those train journeys, though; was kinda getting used to it, although certainly not enjoying the extra costs to commute. Better get ready for the rush hour, brain-dead, road ragey idiots again.......

I was off the road for 4 weeks following my op and that was bad enough

In some ways, Pete, it hasn't been too restrictive. We don't tend to go out much. And I don't dislike walking. If I need anythng from town, it's only a ten minutes' or so walk. Train station 20 minutes.

I suppose it's knowing you can't just jump in the car and nip somewhere out of town.

The fact that there are no Bashes over the Winter is a blessing, I suppose.

But it would have been nice to get to the bell target; hopefully we'll be partaking soon once again.
