The hw40 clone is the Beeman p17

A question for the pistoleros; what's the Gamo PR-45 the closest to in the Weihrauch pistol group?

I had one of them in the 90s. Plastic with steel side rails and single stroke operation. Very consistent (And I could actually shoot back then) Probably HW75.

I'd say hw40, with the the gamo compact being the HW75 competitor...

the pr45 however has a far inferior trigger, but the compact is good.
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

The HW pistol missing from my menagerie, though, is the '75, as you have. Lovely. I have the '40 and 70. Love 'em all, but they'd love it if the '75 came to live with them.

Pistols are ace for short range use at hone. So wieldy and easy to grab. And you can stuff loads of them in a drawer!
I keep my 45's zeroed on full power to be honest. As you say the group sizes don't really vary. The 75 is a lovely pistol but to be fair, considering the price difference the HW40 holds its own against it no problem.

Yep, the '40 is a little belter and so, so easy to shoot accurately with straight from the off.
