    Lanes Musketeer Mainspring

I have just got myself a Lanes Musketeer .177 but the Mainspring in it is almost certainly the wrong one as I can't cock the gun as the spring has too many coils on it.

Does anyone have the specs for the mainspring? Or can recommend a decent substitute?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I think I used part of an old Meteor spring. Mine has no piston washer and the 177 pellets are a rattling good fit in the bore, so it's a bit pants really ! Quite fun getting it back working again though..

Cheers, I ll compare a old meteor spring to what's in side and then decide which one to start cutting. I think this could occupy me for some time.....
