    Citizen Kane RIP

I'm reeling from the dreadful news that my good friend Kane (Citizen K here and on various airgun forums) has died of a heart attack at 59.

He built the Vintage Airguns Gallery website after I decided to re-establish it on my own platform at the end of 2017 and he did most of the painstaking work to transfer the thousands of pics from its previous platform (alongside me, Jimmy Dee, LeonardJ and a couple of others).

His technical knowhow was extraordinary. He was also the brains behind the AirgunWarriors forum, which was the reincarnation of the American Yellow Forum, as well as his own longstanding South African air rifles forum.

He was an amazingly intelligent, wise, even-tempered vintage airgun enthusiast who had forgotten more about the internet and how to run an airgun forum than most of us will ever know. He will be very much missed. RIP Kane.

Extremely sad news Danny. His IT skills and drive have been incredibly valuable to our airgun community, and these were often carried out selflessly and with a very low profile. He will be very much missed.

Wow, that’s so sad. His work is massively appreciated by all of us, and we are of course all very thankful of your continuation of it. Poor chap.

My condolences, Garvin. Kane sounds like he was an amazing guy. Hopefully we'll all be enjoying the fruits of his passion and labor for many years to come.

Citizen K has helped me a lot over the years with my Sharp research.
He was always helpful and kind.

Thanks all. I've just been updating the gallery and it feels strangely lonely, knowing that Kane is no longer checking up on how everything is working, always there to patiently answer a question, keep foreign hackers and troublemakers out, help members with a technical problem and so on. We've spoken every week or two for the last seven years. He made his considerable skills freely available to airgunners the world over.

    RIP old friend.

    Rip

Although I never met him thank you for sharing the news Danny. It does make me think we should all value and appreciate our Life's and health a little more than we currently do. RIP Citizen Kane.
