Well I am waiting for screws to arrive for the sight rail so I have put some mounts that have been machined to fit on for the weekend
Got a nice 80 stock in the week so that will be coming out to play
Probably put the Longbow in as well. If everything goes to plan these will be the guns for the Bash. Possibly add 1 more to the list before the day

    Sorry, Pete. Beyond my powers.

Our wonderful host, Neil, is our resident Weather God. Give him a try and see if he can fix it for you.

It looks like my old original model 50 is going to be up & running, I found a shop (Waffen Centre Gotha) that does front sights, they also do seal conversions to modern seals so got that too. Plus I found a brand new OX spring that is a perfect fit for it that I bought ages ago for something else. Also got a nice diopter for it a while back, so it's hopefully coming together.

The HW 45 on the other hand is still waiting for the Aussie seal I bought two weeks ago, if & when it arrives the Tinbum kit will also be going in. Might need a decent red dot for that too.

Trying a few beers for the bash too, I brought Doom Bar last time & it dried my mouth out & had a horrible after taste after just 4 or 5 cans.

Excellent news re the Original 50; sounds good.

Good luck also on the '45 fettle. Do be cautious with the Aussie seal. Although it seems they can be very good, there's a current thread re low power issues on a pair of '45s and it might turn out that the seals are too tight, robbing power. And I do seem to remember it being said on an older thread that they are often very tight as supplied and may require sizing.

Excellent work on the beer prep. I've been trying lots of different ones over the last couple of years or so. I won't make any recommendations, as tastes obviously vary greatly and we'll all rate different things. I find Doom Bar very nice as a draught beer, but nowhere near as nice when bottled, although I can enjoy many others from the bottle or can.

P.S....That older thread, "Dry firing a HW45 to size the piston seal", revived for reference.

I can't take the credit for it, Pete. I had a little word with Neil on your behalf and he said he'd see what he could do.....
