Yep, exactly. One of the reasons why I keep playing with ideas in my mind (not sure if I'd be able to convert my ideas into metal) of trying to make a very basic one using a mount or arrestor block.

I reckon because they're damned expensive they sit around too long. I had my first neck oil when my local pub first had it on draught as a guest beer and i really enjoyed it. Same place two weeks later and it was pretty awful.

I've opted for Pacific punch, no booze as I'm having to ramp up the painkillers atm although if theres a Bash brew going and someone feels kind enough to post or drop a bottle off it'd definately be appreciated, looks like withdrawing definately was the right choice atm.

I find I usually enjoy Old Golden Hen Not enough of a connoisseur to accurately describe the flavours though.

Was getting a bit concerned when I couldn't access the forum for a few days as I don't have phone numbers for Neil/regular attendees. I've managed to book Friday 2nd off, so I'm thinking to make a Saturday bash appearance, but join the Friday meal as well.

If you can get to the profile pages alot have email addresses for contact otherwise might be worth PMing Neil for a contact just incase although they are doing their best to keep things running forum wise so you should still get through eventually.

It's fine now as I can get on here, but without forum access and no phone number, it would have been difficult to book my Fish & Chips

Tried a bottle of Greene King IPA, not bad and only one pound a bottle ! But there is only 3.4 alcohols per bottle which makes it kind of shandy.

I've realised that there is VERY limited range of beers here, we do have a brewery ( Wold Top ) but 3 quid a bottle is taking the urine surely.

Well at least the HW45 is striped & ready for he TBT kit & Aussie seal. I want it to be as accurate as my 2240, hoping too much ?

Its going to fluctuate likely over the weekend as theres a pattern, it starts ramping up over the weekend and dies off once stuffs been done server end and then starts again the following weekend presumerably because the Culprits got time to change around the VPN settings (once started though the programmes that you use for a DDOS don't need to be monitored unless they get blocked).
If Neils happy to there could always be a snapchat group set up or something, that way those going/confirming etc have a back up and an active way to get details of changes weather etc if the forums being hit as sadly this attacks probably not going to end any time soon.

You could well be right, Mike. The pub I tried it in is one of the more "upmarket" ones in town and their prices are correspondingly horrific!

Good luck with the fettle. How did the strip go?

I have two 2240s and two 45s. The 2240s are great for the price point, but the recoilless nature makes you expect more accuracy than they deliver, I find (unlike the 1377 pump-up, maybe Crosman's .177 barrels are better?).

Once the technique for shooting the 45 is well and truly mastered, I think you'll find the 45 more accurate. Less forgiving but more accurate. A very strict teacher!

I certainly find the Old Golden Hen more palatable than the Old Speckled Hen, Wills.

Know what you mean with the Greene King.

I once tried one of the Wold Top offerings. Can't remember which one it was, but I do remember it being pretty nice. Some of the Samuel Smith's ones are also very nice, but similarly expensive.

Do give those Shepherd Neame ones (their IPA and Old Kentish Ale) and the Marston'sOld Empire IPA that I'd previously mentioned a try. Definitely not bland. And sometimes on offer at some of the supermarkets if buying a few.
