    Starter list:
Impact RM100 (if only to get informed opinion as to why I have an intermittent fault with the safety)
Recently fettled Hatsan Model 60 (short stroked, tp sleeved down and re-sprung)
Recently assembly project HW35 (pre-safety, synthetic seal piston added)
XS20 (.177" or .22", or both) both fettled
    V-Mach tuned .22" HW77
BSA Imp Mod 'D' (a little something for the bell..)

    On the reserve list:

FWB 127 (remember this one Gavin?)
HW80 in.25" (though really it's a pumpkin smasher and shouldn't come out to the autumn..)

    A couple of pistols..

As per normal, happy for anyone to have a plink with anything I bring with me.
Would this be that 127 with the ox in it by any chance?

The trigger piece needs re-spraying, I've got etch primer etc so that's not a problem, but last time I had a BSA (Mercury) I had an MDF jig that held the trigger assembly for compressing the spring, wish I still had that !
Thats no worries, i'll pop it in the van

Shot it three times and the power is a measly 6.6 ft/lb s However it's cockable now, almost on par with a 97, it fires with better manners too. The only thing I can think of now is more piston weight, ideally a bit of steel tube the same shape as the spare cocking slot & tack welded in place would be good, but I'll maybe add a few washers instead in the short term.

For now I'll let it bed in & concentrate on making the fore-sight raiser so It can come to the bash.

Only three days of work next week and then it's bash time
Yep, in a perfect world, a softer spring may well have been preferable, but it's always easier commenting afterwards. As you say, maybe adding back some preload and piston weight combined may well be the way to sort for now.

It's going to be a diopter target gun so really a soft cycle is the most important, I doubt it'll be much use over 25 yards with a diopter & my eyes anyway. It was ridiculously hard to cock, I think it would have either broken something in the rifle or my arm left as it was.

If I add steel washers in the piston it'll kill two birds with one stone & it's easy to play around with how many, fortunately it's a very easy gun to strip.

On another note the Hobbys arrived today, I probably should have bought all they had & made a killing on flea bay

I know some of you seek these out.

    Neil,
I've just found a 2-7×32 Airmax that I forgot I had which will be perfect for what I want so would you mind if I gave the Simmons a pass?

Isn't it nice when you re-discover things like this that you had forgotten you had?
