PP700W or PP700SA
I'm thinking about buying a PCP pistol for plinking and more serious target shooting. I've been looking at the Artemis / SMK PP700W and the PP700S-A which seems to be a later version of essentially the same gun. I've seen the W for £170, but not local to me so realistically would be about £185. The S-A about £220. As far as I can see the S-A has a longer barrel, possibly better finish quality and a less effective shroud - meaning it is even louder than the already loud W.
Not sure how I feel about the stock addition to turn it into a carbine, but the bolt-on version I saw in a video was way too flimsy. The W comes without sights so would require the additional expense of a pistol scope (from £30) or I could use the red dot I already have.
I should say I haven't tried or even seen either in the flesh, but I'm wondering if the S-A is worth 20% more? I know the green grip on the W isn't going to be easy to like, but I'll probably make a wooden replacement anyway. I also like the adjustability as I am probably more of a tuner / fiddler than a shooter! (I own a Gunpower Stealth). I also have a CP1-M and a Crossman 2240 and have owned lots of PCP rifles, but have never owned a PCP pistol.
I have also looked at the Reximex Mito, but they are £400, although the stock attachment looks better thought out and more stable (only available for the synthetic grip version) and, obviously, it is a lever action multi-shot. Is it worth twice the price?
I would appreciate views, opinions, or extra information from anyone who has owned or used one, or preferably both.
Thanks

Hi, I have a PP700SA and I don't think the trigger is good enough for serious target shooting and the shroud is only any good
for the extended dovetail so you can fit a scope easier . I do like the pistol for the price and mine will be made into a carbine with a longer barrel . For a budget target pistol the PP800 might be a better choice .
