Used them in my 36 navy,
did not see any difference to R-B,
I think I still have moulds somewhere,
Anyone used .36 conicals in their revolvers esp eras versions

You know how it is with a new toy lol
Even though I have 3 other bp revolvers but I like to try them out

I only shoot my .45 single shot pistol and my .45 Ruger revolver with round ball these days,
but being the hoarder I am, still have all the conical moulds,
the only real success i had with CONICALS was in the Ruger,
load them backwards and they go great, like wad-cutter,
I've tried them in my Colt Navy and also a Remington Navy (original and repro in that order) but to be brutally honest they never seemed to perform as well as Round Ball, so that's what I more or less exclusively use. I had a dozen Era's Gone .36 cal Bullets from a good friend of mine but they were much the same. My go-to load for .36 is 12 grains Swiss 2 plus semolina (probably 9 grains?), .380 LRB and a smear of Castrol white grease.
Incidentally I'v got a dozen Era's Gone Bullets for my .44 from the same guy but haven't gotten round to using them yet...

Strange as I am not as accurate with my ruger old army against my rogers and my old faithful pietta 1858 even though it's easiest the best revolver for sights . Both the rogers and 1858 use the same load data and achieve around 2 inch at 25 yds
I have a hollow point ruger old army mold too and tried reversing them but made no difference .
It's not the revolver it's me not use to it yet but still fun

Conical in pistol is better at longer range. Try dimpling your Balls like Golf balls, it does work.
