Some of my PCP' dump the air below 100bar as that's what's
required to keep the valve closed. Not sure if any will go as low as 50bar

Usually 100 bar is about the minimum.
That of course if rifle dependent
    Repariere nicht, was nicht kaputtist.

When you start to notice that the Point of Impact is dropping, your pressure is too low.

If I remember correctly, I think I set my reg valve at about 57ish bar after I took the rifle to bits for a seal renewal. I usually fill up at any point before I get to this level (but admittedly often don't on busy activity days).

With my S410 which is unregulated, I fill at 100bar up to 180bar which I know is the ‘sweet spot’. With my HW100 which is regulated, I re-fill at 80 up to 200.

Just try it with your gun it may go down to 50 bar It will depend on if there is to much spring preload when it is not cocked , If your hammer has any free travel ie, Not under any spring pressure , Then in theory it should go down to practically nothing as the hammer will not keep the main valve open after firing and the remaining pressure will close the valve until there is not enough pressure on the main valve seat and it start's to leak past.

Bear in mind if you're using a pump it will take much longer to fill up from a lower pressure

With a pump I used to top mine up every 50 shots, or each time I used it.
with a cyl/compressor every time I notice POI dropping, or sense it sounds/feels different, or after a session.
