    6m targets

Apologies if this is well known.

I used to use a website that allowed the creation of targets for both 10 and 6m that ensured the difficult remained the same.

I have setup a 10m range in the garden, but with all 2 weeks of our summer almost over in the UK i'm looking to set up a 6m range in the garage.

Does anyone know what the website im referring to is called or if not anywhere to get 6m targets?

Not sure of websites but should be just a case of scaling the image if you're doing printouts, other than that just use smaller objects like Army men etc, I do this for my indoor range for my Airsoft pistols and seems to work well.

It was more to keep the realism of 10m target shooting but indoors, do you know what the scale should be for 6m vs 10m? is it linear i.e. divide by 10 multiple by 6?

The standard air gun match targets are for ranges of 10m and 6yards (not metres).
The scoring rings are not exactly proportional because you need to make allowances for inner scoring in the case of air pistol but if you are simply practicing then maybe that is not important to you . Work out the ratio of 10m:6yards to make up your own targets.
The NSRA sell packs of 6yard targets but the packs are very large and probably more than you need but I am sure you can find other suppliers on line who sell smaller quantities.

Maths are not my strong point but if you say the 10m is 100 percent (keys dead for symbol) then for 6 reduce it by 40 but otherwise just experiment as reducing size gradually can help with the challenge and training yourself.
There are printouts and premades out there aswell that swap the main target on the 14cm card for multiple smaller ones (usually 4), maybe that'll work?

Hi I use a web site called print targets, and with some fiddling around have got 9 six yard aiming marks onto the back of a 17cm 10m NSRA target. If I use the 10m target I lose the centre 6yd one but these are the correct size. I use a laser jet printer that has program on a laptop to set custom paper sizes etc. I can also print 4 10m centres on the back of 10m cards so get 5 targets from one.

Hopefully you are sorted now with the earlier suggestions but it's a scaling job to resize targets which is straightforward enough but you then have to convince your printer to print them to the dimensions you have calculated if you are doing it yourself. Either way hopefully you are ok with it now.

A quick easy way that might provide a suitable target is to set up a 10m card & from the firing line note the size of the black in relation to the width of your front sight. Then draw/print a selection of black circles & set them up at 6m t& find the one that has the same relationship to your front sight when it was viewed at 10m.
The centre of the target is easy to find, but just shoot a couple of shots at each of the correct sized bulls & concentrate on shot placement/grouping rather than a score.
When you go back to the 10m outdoor target your average may well have improved. Without too much attention being given to the numerical score it might help with other aspects, sight picture, trigger control etc. if you are a' match or target' shooter.
    Best regards

Go to scatt.com Support Downloads. Download and install the Professional version of the software. It contains a tool that will print any of a wide range of targets scaled to whatever range you want to use them at. They are intended for aiming practice, so I don't think the scoring rings are adjusted for the different angular size of the projectile at the physical range.
