Understood, my cuddly little one. xxx

P.S....With Chris able to view but not post at the moment, please pass on info to him, too.

Plus, if you don't mind, and he's happy for me to have it, pass on his phone number.

We must get his little dilemma sorted so he can enjoy full access again.

Yep, definitely sounding like the Premier Inn at Lakeside might be the better option for those needing a hotel.

Donny centre, I'd guess, would be relatively "boisterous" on a Saturday night. I'll ask the lads at work who live locally where they might recommend for food and drinks later.

A bit of local knowledge would be great, there is an Argentinian resto and a Turkish one, both look good going by the menu, there's an Indian too. How safe are cars overnight there ?

I'll ask and see what the local peeps say, Paul.

Are the restaurants that you mention town centre (oops, it's a city now!) or closer to the Lakeside / Dome complex?

So, I was talking with one of my work colleagues, who lives in the middle of Doncaster, earlier.

He advised that, although not "rough" and you'd be unlikely to come across any trouble in the centre, he would advise the Premier Inn at the Lakeside Village. Pub virtually next door that serves food also. Plus another good pub five minutes' walk away. Other eateries very close by and a few restaurants etc. also within very easy striking distance.

There's a nice aircraft museum near lakeside premiere inn. South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum. Thought it might be of interest to a few of you who like that kinda thing.

The Prem Inn at Lakeside definitely sounds best option. I've no desire to stay or go out in the centre of Donny (or any other town centre) or be doing taxis.

I've stayed in several Premier Inns with pub attached for get togethers with old army mates. The food is decent & reasonably priced, as is the ale, usually.
It's not as if any of us old duffers are gonna be getting 'down wiv da kidz' in a nightclub, is it?

Would it be possible to bring guests? My two shooting buddies from my local range have shown an interest in this and I've said that I'll ask the question.

Thanks, Premier Inn is looking the odds on favourite atm.

That's exactly what I was thinking (minus the army bit).

Personally I have no problem with that it'll help spread the cost. Maybe they'd be inclined to come to a Bash next year if all goes well ?

One of them was booked into the May Bash but his father died so he couldn't come. I'm sure they'd both be consumed by the Bashomania atmosphere.

    Absolutely.

At the end of the day, none of us are "Boinger Bash Gatekeepers" but we all embrace the all-inclusive nature of The Spirit of The Boing. The more the merrier, I say!

I have a very good Mate in Sheffield who may attend future Bashes although he's a very serious Carp Angler. He does however own one air rifle, a very nice BSA R10/Hawke "Hubble Job" combo which he keeps down his local vermin with !

What are you trying to move over?
I can either tell you what to do or move it over, that said the software this forum runs on was likely written by a Child of the 50s or very early 60s as it's quite old in terms of platform standard.
