Yep, just 73 to go!

Yep I have got a 97 as well, but it gets more shooting time than the others & they are getting left out.

I don't bother taking more than three rifles to the range, there isn't enough time. The new seals for the 95 are here, piston seal already fitted. The 80 has to go to the range & the other might even be the Sirocco with it's .22 barrel on should the O rings arrive for the gas ram. If not the third slot will be taken up by the venerable Airsporter as I've barely used it & I want to see if the last trip to the range with it was a fluke because it out shot ze Germans at 25 yards.

I managed to get the 95 back together last night with its 200gram piston & new seal. Wow, the guy was right, it's superb

Only fired a few shots into a roll of carpet off cut but it's so obviously way better, the delrin guide is a bit tight & the seal probably is a bit too, it's doing 13 joules with one preload washer. I didn't need to use a clamp to put it back together either.

The power will go up a bit with use so it can stay as it is for now & see what it's like after a sesh at the range. Just need to fit the Bisley butt pad now


Only 72 to go, blimey ! Just need to get crimble out of the way and then the sunny uplands of Donny await

Friday at last


The O rings for the Theoben should have been here weds or thurs, everything else is waiting, the Krytox lubes, best fittings valve adapter, & new breech seal for the .22 barrel.

Christmas is starting to loom in a bit now, I'm dreading it, the whole family & presents thing I could really do without tbh. So glad that Donny is stood behind it

Yeah, I don't exactly look forward to Christmas too, Paul.

But, as you say, once we're past that annoying little marker, we won't have long to go until we can all get together at Santa Brian's and have a proper play with our favourite toys.

I rarely look in on the Sales section but just happened to have a quick look in now. Our good friend Paul, Mach1.5, is selling a HW35 action....recently serviced by Lyn, new type cocking and I think it has a silencer too.......wish I had the space / could justify.

Get it bought, somebody, it'll be a good one.

And there's an Export stock for sale too.

Why oh why didn't someone else buy the ruddy things

At this rate I'm going to have quite a collection of German ladies.

I did get to the range & the 95 with the lightened piston was amazing, it's so soft now, and not an expensive mod either, even though I bought a second hand piston to try it !

The 80 seems like a beast now compared to the 95, but it's the one rifle I've got that should have a chance at the bucket. It's down to me working on my hold & muscle tension now.

It was stating to get dark very early, took the above rifles back to the car when I remembered the Airsporter, so I grabbed a target & went to the more open range (they have two air rifle ranges) as the light was better there, and it's really quite a remarkable little rifle. Not sure if I relax more with it because I don't expect anything of it, but it's removing bulls at 15-20 yards in a way it has no right to. The trigger is so crude after the rekords I thought it had a safety for a minute lol.
