thank you to everyone for letting me shoot their rifles

    was a good day
Brilliant to finally meet you, young sir. Those rifles certainly shot very, very nicely indeed. Most especially the 35E, considering it's a 30mm. Not "thumpy" one bit. Just very nice and smooth, almost "soft". Brilliant. Just goes to show how good they can be with relatively little done.....standard bore and stroke, standard piston, just a very well suited spring, guides and seal combination. Most excellent.

Thank you for the ride on and the chats.

With us living so closeby, we'll have to try & meet up occasionally.

    Smile Thank you

To Brian and Leanne and the D.A.R team for enabling this and making it happen. It was a great day. We'll have to try and sort another at some point. Maybe a slightly different method re numbers / bookings etc to ensure fairness / guarantee attendance etc?

Thank you "Waddy Paul" for thinking up the meet, following it through, organising last night's eating arrangements etc. It all went perfectly thanks to you, sir.

Thank you for entertaining and dispensing, as always, that excellent advice, Bri.

Thank you to Dan for the lift in and Neil for the ride home. Brilliant and much appreciated, chaps. Thank you.

And thank you to everyone who came along. It was a most enjoyable day. Brilliant atmosphere amongst lovely people. As always I had a few shots with some lovely, lovely toys.

    Awesome!

    And of those lovely rifles.......

Foby's were all excellent.......Nick Simmons fettled Omegas, Tomahawk and 77 were utterly sublime. Fine examples of a master tuner's art.

Dan's two Weihrauchs with the Vortek bits, as previously mentioned, were very, very nice. Possibly the 35 impressing the most as it delivered it's wonderfully refined cycle in standard 30mm guise. Sounds like the Vortek spring is short and stiff, along the lines of the Venom / V-Mach ones, with Dan reporting only a whisker of spring protruding from the cylinder prior to screwing down the end block. Lovely.

Terry's Air King, as expected, delivered that almost not-believable sensation of "you know it's a springer and there's stuff going on in there" coupled with no recoil or vibration transmitted to the shooter. Lovely.

The little Cricket was a fine little thing. Short, squat, light, oozing excellent build and like a laser.

But you know what? And I've said it so many times before that I'm sounding like a stuck record......the little HW30 that Terry bought from Baldinio. These little stunners just never cease to amaze. It's a springer and there's stuff going on inside. The rifle is compact, light and cocking effort ridiculously low. The cycle feels better than any "super-tuned 12ft.lbs mega gun" and it's basically PCP easy in terms of point, squeeze, hit with no drama. I love these little guns. Must play with mine more. If you don't need to hunt at longer ranges or shoot FT in windy conditions, this rifle will do it all. Awesome!

Great to see you Tony, & everyone who managed to make it along yesterday.

Scott's rifles from NS were absolutely stunning to shoot, although I already knew this as I've bought enough from him- he's like my personal arms dealer!
That 77 made me think about getting Nick to look at mine after all, although as you know it shoots well as it is so I'm guessing it's had something done during its life. Just don't know what.

Loved having a go with that awesome .177 Rapd of gsxrman's and 'surprise of the day' for me was Waddy's little Relum- what a cracking garden plinker that is!

Thanks to you & Waddy for getting this off the ground, and to Brian & all at Donny range for a great day.

We were all too busy shooting, or doing star jumps to keep warm

I think Brian may have done a bit of video though... I saw him using some sort of action cam thing- did anyone ask him?

    Well, that went very well

Huge thank you to Brian, Leane & the staff at the Doncaster Airgun Range, superb venue with everything you need for a shooting session, good stock of pellets, & targets at very reasonable prices too.

Absolutely chuffed with the amazing Wulf Lightning scope I bought too, what a bargain

Thanks to Tony for setting it up with Brian & for everything you've done keeping this thread going. A huge thanks to everyone that came & I hope to see you all again, if not at another meet up at Donny then at one of the fantastic Bashes during the warmer months.

I'm certainly up for doing that again, maybe slightly differently in some ways like people putting a small deposit down & maybe even just doing the mid day & afternoon sessions.

The Premier Inn & Beefeater worked well too, car park on site so not far to carry things to your room & no long walk in the cold to get food & drink.

As for pics, I never think to take them as too busy chatting & shooting, I think Brian might have taken some ?

    Thank you TonyL and Waddy.

I had a very good day Saturday and a warm up (freeze up) on Friday.

Excellent company and a great venue to shoot at.

Thank You for Visiting Us at Doncaster Airgun Range!

    Hello everyone!

On behalf of myself (Brian) and Leanne, we’d like to extend a huge thank you to all the members of AirgunBBS who paid us a visit at Doncaster Airgun Range. It was fantastic to meet so many of you in person and have the chance to chat about all things airgun-related.

We had an amazing time hosting you all and truly appreciate the great conversations and the enthusiasm everyone brought along. A special shout-out goes to Thomas, whose hot chocolate was absolutely outstanding—thank you for keeping us all warm and cozy!

Looking forward to more events like this and seeing you all again soon!

    Best regards,
    Brian & Leanne

Here's a short video I shot (shamelessly capturing myself shooting one of the new Precihole SX200 Minerva springers)

    August?

To be honest, that was quite a cold one yesterday, I had to de-ice my windscreen before I drove home last night. Jan/Feb/March are usually a bit chilly but it's not too bad for the other 9 months. It was reasonable last week as well - bizarre weather we're having, when's this global warming thing supposed to be happening - I can't wait
