And finally, after 8 rounds of the 2024 Sussex Interclub HFT, we have the full results table. Takes quite a bit of twiddling (twaddling as My Guy would call it), to extract the info in to this table format

Individual table results take in to account the best 5 of (up to) 8 rounds. In the table below, a 0 indicates that the round was not entered. A blank in the row shows that it was one of the dropped scores.

As always, especially if you attend the final round having previously only entered 4 and shot well, moves up the table can be significant. e.g. Mr Hills. In 20th place after round 7, but now leaping up to 4th, while also capturing his 5th Gold badge and a Platinum.

Charles Peal's 100% at Meon resulted in a 2nd and 3rd place swap with Roger D.

In the boinger class, my prediction of what could/would happen should Ihab enter R8 did indeed happen. As a result, he leapt 5 places, from 5th to first and by a significant margin. Looks like Derek would still have been nudged out of the top spot if he had managed a 100% on the day.

In our Sticks Class, I am very grateful to the person who pointed out a pretty important error I had made after Round 7, when recording Martin Nicholls as entering this class in all his rounds. In fact R7 was his first, with the earlier rounds in the Open Class. This has now been corrected and, with Alan Renwick shooting his 5th Stick Class score at Round 8, he came out the clear winner of Sticks, overtaking both Steve Saunter and Trevor Hudson.

While Vets class was still open after round 7, with just a couple of percent between oldies Rackley and Burgess, Mark admitted to having a mare at Meon and Mike managed to stretch the lead to retain 1st place. So no repeat of the 2023 nail-biter for 1st & 2nd places, when separation was measured in hundreds of thousandths of a %.

And finally ….. below the big individual league table, I’ve added the detail of the club team results, round by round. Winning team in 2024 is Mile Oak.

Well done to all our winners, but more important to each and every one of you for making SIHFT what it is.

With BBS limitation on post length, the tables will have to be split over several post replies. Not sure yet how many, but do follow the journey through the classes.
