    New Wasp Pellets !

I've recently been trying out the above in several spring guns after hearing positive reports.
All the signs are, they are now manufactured by H and N in Germany which looks to be the case having received a tin of 250 pellets. Tin, labeling and narrow band of perimeter tape appears to be the same as standard H & N pellets.
For a start they don't resemble the old style Eley Wasp pellet, being near as dammit to a FTT in appearance !

    BUT

They do shoot well in my Vulcan KS, HW 35 and an RB2 Airsporter Carbine so to date the Jury's out but I'd say they're worth a try !

if they are the same as H&N FTT, what is the advantage in buying these ? Pseudo-nostalgia ?
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

    Are they 5.6mm?
Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in

They’re the same weight too. I’ve actually yet to find a rifle they behave badly in. As a mid to longish range hunter pellet they seem pretty consistent in shape and weight, nice and clean and very little damage. Occasional flash around part of the edge of the skirt when viewed from underneath. I like them, and became aware of them after Lyn @ ARC did (very) a brief facebook post a while back.

    Would agree
    £5.95 plus p&p 250 a tin.
    A clean decent finish !

Depending on where they are bought from, maybe costing slightly more than the FTT, theN?

Is there a sticker on the underside of the tin, John? Many H&N produced pellets have this.

Does it say something along the lines of "Haendler and Natterman, GmbH", (not 100% sure if I've spelled those correctly) on that label, John?

I've got Bisley pellets with barcode stickers saying H&N !

Maybe just about all the decent other (than known actual pellet manufacturers ) brand pellets are H&N ? Who makes Weihrauch pellets or BSA pellets ?

The Weihrauch FT pellets are JSB. Their F&T pellets are FTTs.

The more recent (last two years-ish?) BSA pellets are also H&Ns.....their Gold Star is the FTT.

Yep, for a long time it's been known that the Bisley Magnum is the H&N Baracuda. Other Bisley pellets, as you say, also by H&N.

Neil gave me some pellets at the last Bash. Amongst those were some Remington branded pellets, also made by H&N.

Nothing shown H &N related anywhere on tin !

As far as I can make out only the 5.5’s are being made, there’s no sign of a 5.6 “Wasp” (blue label) on the present market by this manufacturer.
