    HW95S K adjustable

Having a break barrel springer gap now I since selling my 80, I’ve been looking at a 95 and now see they do one with an adjustable stock.

Has anyone had one in their hands to see what the stock is like ?

I had a shoulder of one at our local RFD not too long ago. Stock seems solid enough and good quality, they already had the riser up a bit and the pad down so I pretty much had a good hold on it. Maybe for me I'd have the cheek set a bit higher but otherwise yeah not bad at all. Didn't seem overly heavy for a springer but there was no scope mounted so hard to compare exactly, especially as I don't really use springers these days.

I wasn't in the market for one it's just something they happened to have out on the counter along with a couple of other HWs. So I didn't inspect it much further than just shouldering and looking over it. However I don't think I'd be disappointed if I did acquire one for what ever reason.

Are the stocks like the 98 or a 95 with the adjustable bits?
Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in

They have same stock as the 95 with the adjustable comb and butt pad.

    Yep, you read correctly.

I haven't seen one in the flesh. Just looked up the images earlier today. I do think they look nice. However, as I already have three 95s, a 98 and no spare space or dosh, I don't think I'll be buying one.

I'm not a total fan of adjustable stocks but I am a fan of the HW 95 particularly the early muzzle weighted version and I must agree, this one has a particular appeal !

Not a fan of the standard silencer, they are effective but that's all you can say for them.

My 95k has a DM80 slimtech style metal silencer which adds the weight it needs and looks fantastic. It looks like it should have looked when made, the original silencer looks like something your mate down the pub knocked up on lathe during lunch break at work.

Why oh why weren't they doing adjustable combs from the get go ?

I don’t remember that one, though not a fan of the 77.

Strange that many shotguns come with an adjustable comb, even after market fitments are better, the Beretta one is not well accepted and the UK guy that does them is better and his is more welcome as a purchase, even if you were buying new you would get a standard stock and get him to do it, my own current DT11 has the aftermarket adjustable comb and the quality of the refinish of the cut walnut is stunning.

Its not an unattractive air rifle having the classic lines of a sporter but if you're paying roughly £150 extra (£600 total) for the adjustable stock version as opposed to the basic 95 at £400 ish., and assuming you're not opposed to the adjustable stock and may want to keep it as opposed to swapping it for a CS job, it may be a worthwhile investment !

To be honest, I like the factory adjustable offering and wouldn't bother about a CS or similar stock !

I had the full HW80 custom vglide with Gary cane stock that I had on as a commission sale so I’ve a bob or two to spend, also traded in my FWB 300s that hasn’t saw the light of day for some years.
I wanted a slim gun that would be like but better than my early Vulcan II.

The shop we go to up here had one so off I went.

Loved it just what I wanted, home it came, with the FWB 300s also traded in.

The comb rises with a push button and has little increments, the but pad is adjusted with an Allen key.

Will try it out tomorrow and I’d keep it as much original as I can, albeit I’d also like to get hold of a DM 80 slimtech silencer if anyone has one give me a shout.
