    Hi people

Have been away from air rifles for around 13 years, recently joined my local field target club and bought a hw97k, used to hunt with pcps years ago but only targets for me now.

I look forward to joining in with conversations and getting advice as it's been a long time away from this game for me.

    Thanks

Hello and welcome. I recently went down the 97kt route with one of the red/black 1899 editions. Nice springers and well capable of what you want of it.

    Hi
I have a 97KT as well, lovely gun, I only use it on the range but it is a joy to shoot. I have a small scope on it (Optisan 10x32) as it gives me all the magnification I need to knock down targets out to 50 yards without making access to the breech awkward.

Thanks for the welcome, at the moment i have the falcon t50i 5x50x60 scope on my 97k, as you can imagine, it feels very heavy with this scope on top, the rifle is VERY accurate though and from the bench on the plinking range i can hit everything almost first time.

The 55 yard knock downs go down and up like a yoyo hahaha, now i just need to try to find a custom field target stock for it to make field target a little more enjoyable.

    Thanks

You really need a light bright scope ......big scopes mean they're compensating for something

    Welcome.

I also have a 97k, but it's an old mk1, lovely rifle & as you say extremely accurate. Needs a new scope though as the Hawke Eclipse it's wearing won't hold zero & breech access limits choice somewhat.
