Qiang Yuan Sports Diablolo .177 Pellets.

On present experience, the QYS .177 pellets, domed 8.48 grn and slipstreamed 8.48 grn air rifle pellets have been excellent in my .177 caliber spring air rifles.
So, what's the verdict out there, I'm interested in the performance of their Match grade .177 pellets !

A ,22 pellet, if introduced would be very exciting !

I believe JTS are the same make/factory as QYS which offer a .22, maybe someone who knows for sure could confirm?

I found the standard weight Sreamline pellets to be excellent in all my .177 sporting rifles past and present, HW100, FX etc. They were going to discontinue these and only produce the heavies but apparently they've changed their mind. They've had flood of people emailing asking if the rumours are true and if they could not. Either way I ordered 20 more tins a couple months ago just in case, it does look like everywhere has plenty of stock currently.

I have tried their match grade pellets in both my FWB800 and my daughters FWB 800jr at 10 meters. Clamped down they don't group they shoot through the same hole! Haven't tried them at a greater distance any thing beyond 10m is superfluous.

Good stuff this, the standards being the 8.48's ?

How do the heavies perform , have you tried them, 9.56 aren't they ?

It would be good to know which head size’s people tend to prefer in which rifles too, 4.49 or 4.50? This would be very much appreciated

    The 8.48 Domed are 4.49
    The 8.48 Streamlined are 4.50

Both currently in use in springers: HW 50S, HW 95, Walther Master Pro LGV & AA TX200HC Mk 3 at ranges from 25 to 30m.

I didn't try the heavy's (9.56) as I was already satisfied with the standard 8.48. They've taken the place of the JSBs I had been using previously. I keep meaning to buy a tin of both heavy's just to try. Coincidently I was at SGC today picking up a pair of Harkila boots, when nearly home I thought bugger forgot about those heavy's again!

To answer the other post above I've only tried the 4.50 head size. I've not bothered to size or weigh them for consistency they do seem very good unsorted. Hardly see any damaged skirts, I'm not an expert on non ferrous metals but they just look like a better quality lead compared to JSB, RWS ect.

    Yup, more good stuff !
I'm thinking likewise in regard to the Heavies, probably worth a try !

As I side issue, I'd be interested to know how you get on with the Harkilas. Been using Meindl D Extremes for 8/9 years but considering new boots now.

Reidmar GTX 2 are the particular ones I bought. The steel wire with the quick release was a big draw, certainly is a lot easier than lacing and unlacing. How well it will hold up in the long run well I guess time will tell, you've got to try these things at least once I guess.
Had to come down a full size, first time I've bought a size 10 since I was 12yrs. Probably expecting a much thicker sock, not really needed in south Dorset, you guys up north might be a different story.

I use the Streamlined 9.56gn in my S200. Generally, groups are 1-2mm smaller than the 8.48gn pellets.

4.50 size. 4.49 I recon to be more of a pistol size. Never use that in rifles.
