    TX200 Full Length Barrel..... .177 or .22 Calibre ?

Which would you opt for ?

Fancy a full length but can't quite decide which calibre to go for.

Usage will be; range work out to 35m, garden and my personal enjoyment but not hunting or competitions.

Scope choice because they really matter as a combo, possibly a Leup or a Meopta Optik 6.

What cal is your TX200 SR ?, and do you fancy a change in cal.
    I have a mk3 Tx200 full length in 177 and a mk1 in 22 and both are great performers.
A 177 will be cheaper to feed .

Evening Les, I own two .22's including the SR and a Mk.2 HC plus one .177 HC.

I do have a caliber preference but I'll not divulge it just now.

    Evening John
    Yeah 3 is a odd number .
I would say 177, but I reckon you prefer the 22 cal ?.
    Either cal would be nice.
And the scope choice sounds interesting.

One thing that might be a factor in your choice is just how easy a mk3 full length in 177 is to cock, they are a doddle.

Does that mean with a tinbum short-stroke extension they are doddle-plus?

    I'll side on a .177.

No reason than you already have two .22.

    More likely a doddle minus!

I did think that but less than a doddle actually sounds harder than a doddle.

The .22 would be easier to cock by a whisker.

I think it will be harder to cock than one with no short stroke though maybe not by much if the same spring produces full power. So, a doddle minus it would probably be!
