Or don’t use the specs and it’s the opposite.
I can just about get away with it on the bell target (6yards) and bigger targets (tin cans) at 10-20 yards.
    Les..
15 to 20 yards may just be my limit on opens, we'll see !

    Cheers Les.

    Similar, but different here.

I used to really love shooting on opens. Nice, basic and rugged. And would often surprise myself at how many small targets I could connect with at longer ranges and also group sizes.

However, since the cataract ops last year - no glasses and the sights are in focus. Target blurry and, in some cases, impossible to see.

Glasses on - target in focus, sights hopelessly blurry.

But then a couple of months ago, using my little Diana 24D on opens at six yards, with a view to resuming visits to the Bell Target venue, better results were achieved with glasses on, despite the blurry sights.

I wonder if there's some "magic prescription" that an optician can help with?????

Good light levels improve matters with me.
Indoor range is problematic especially in these dark autumn/winter mornings.
My present varifocals are a slight improvement but nowhere near perfect. It’s either sights in focus or target in focus I’m afraid.

My favourite garden plinker is my wooden stocked Daisy 922 , they were nicknamed the 'Arkansas Can Opener' , it wears an old steel tubed Weaver 1.5-4.5x20 scope and is a really fun and handy little rifle for garden shooting , the dimensions also mean that it's not a too much for the children either.

    Makes a consistent 10ftlb on 10 pumps .

Had a nice couple of short plinking sessions with the Ratcatcher yesterday and today. Great, effortless fun!:

Some said in the past that the term "plinking" came from the sound made when our little pellets hit tan cans. So, is walloping them with a .25 termed as "thwacking"?
