HW30 - The start of the transformation

    Good evening all,

Now for the followers of the lovely little HW30, we all know how lovely this little rifle can be once tuned. I have plans for the tuning although I have had a cracking reflex shroud made just to change it a tad. This is now one of the quietest springers I have shot and it balances beautifully. To me I love how it looks and balances ( I am sure alot will disagree ) but if we were all the same.. that would be a boring existence so love it or hate it… here it is .. pre tuned and on its way to tartville

    Ooh! That’s subtle and discreet.

    I like it a lot!

Very Nice...I like it, However, I'm going more classic with mine, a screw on 'V mach style' Slimtech to match most of my other HW Break Barrels.

    Cheers Steve

It is different and looks better up close but my god is it quiet and balanced. The HW30 now looks like it means business . Hopefully get some time this week to try the QYS streamline heavies through it now. More to follow…..

I can't access the image at the moment on my ageing I-Pad; will look in on my phone later. Sounding good, though. Not sure about the suitability of those heavier pellets with the modest output and light piston, but the proof will be in the pudding.....

    Very accurate with Hobby's.

This is the one I'm left with now.

I could see no sign on mine either, and the new spring I chose has good power without too much tension, so it should stay that way.

If it does start I will find and video the cure

Many of the newer rifles with the articulated cocking lever do seem okay. Especially if a little high moly content paste is applied for reassurance. If symptoms exist, it's easy to diagnose and correct.
