Thank you for the brthday wishes lads.

I've had a bit of a bugger this year healthwise and your wishes mean a lot to me, I would have posted in thanks last night but the drugs I'm on got the better of me.

For those lads who I've not been in contact with --- don't panic but I have a touch of prostate cancer.

Luckily, my doctors caught this early enough that I can be cured quite easily, but it'll be a fairly lengthy process as they're saying that i'll have to be chemically castrated for over three years.

    All the best Michelle

You’re a strong fella Mick, you’re halfway to 126 years old so you’re not doing too bad mate and you’ll be fine I’m sure since it’s been caught early. It’s also a good time to be Trans these days, there’s a lot of support out there for you sorts

Great that they've caught it early, Mick. It's amazing what they can do these days.

    All the very, very best.

It's not the length you have to be worried about..... It's the girth.......

How are things going, Mick? Have you started with the treatment yet?

Ah Tone --- sorry for late reply.

I'm on my 22nd day of testosterone blocking pills and I was chemically castrated via an injection last Monday.

So far I've had no ill effects apart from the fact that I now have trouble reversing into a parking space, I can't seem to grasp the offside rule in football and I'm yearning for a .177" pcp.

    All the best Mick

Thank you for the reply, Mick, and I hope the treatment is having the desired effect.

Great to see that your sense of humour is still super-sharp.

    Joking aside, Tone.

As prostate-cancer feeds off testosterone, the traditional way of stopping it's growth and spread is to turn off testosterone production in the patient prior to destroying the cancer with Radiation.

I have no physical signs of prostate-cancer and it was found in its early stages due to a simple blood test --- I'd urge all of you guys reading this to ask your doctor for a PSA blood test.

Mick, I wish you a speedy and full recovery mate. Just remember, if you feel two hands on your shoulders during an examination, it ain't his finger...
