My favourite Webley Junior. Pity Webley decided to replace the nice wood grips on these pre-war Juniors with pressed steel ones

Although not a big fan of the later Alloy framed Juniors, I bought this one for the nice wooden grips fitted by a previous owner especially as it has the pre-war Webley medallion set into the grip.

    Juniors

I’m also a fan of Juniors. Particularly the early ones.

I have a “Birmingham and London” box but it needs some sympathetic repair. A future project.

Both of my pre-war Juniors have the windage adjustable rear sight available for only short period during early production.

The early tiger striped junior box is probably my favorite box webley did, can imagine when new it was even brighter and more vibrant, mine sure there were plenty of happy kids at Christmas back then

The early tiger stripped Webley Junior boxes were typically vibrant unlike the later more bland packaging. It was the same with pellet packaging with the Bulldog being my favourite for its bright appearance.

Agree Brian. Sadly my “Birmingham & London” box lid circa 1929 is separated from its sides although it’s all there. I’ve slightly increased the saturation on this photo to show off the tiger stripes :-)
