I found the above to be true of my FWB127 Mk II back in the day and also with a .177 SuperSport I bought in 1988.
The .22 SS I currently own shoots very benignly at full power with its TbT guides and cut down spring. Must get that trigger put back together.....

Weight is an issue for me as I carry the gun about and having shoulder issues from years of racing motorcycles I need something light, I also think most guys now only shoot at a range where the gun sits on bench so weight isn’t an issue and their targets don’t move so a heavy lump should help.
My absolute favourite is the 220 as its perfect for my needs, the recently acquired Omega is a bit heavy but I’ve decided to keep the old girl as the grandson will enjoy it, so that’s getting the Shauny treatment like the others.
