Hi Dave
Good to see you on here. Hope you're well.
With regard to the seals, I found them a disturbingly loose fit in the compression area, but otherwise incredibly efficient.
All 3 that I worked on, fell freely in the comp tube, but stopped instantly a finger was placed over the TP
There are plenty of things they should be ashamed about, regarding the new Sport, but for me, the seal is a way down the list

Best not put mine up for £1500 then..lol. Mach 1.5
The Feinwerkbau SPORT (Mk 4?) was a disappointment on a level with the sequel to ‘Bladerunner’. They had 30 years to cook up the same but way better but only managed to disappoint everyone.
And let's not forget the bigger disappointment the MK3. Seems they didn't learn their lesson. Mach 1.5
Yep
Looks that make a grown man cry
Rear sight lugs that it never needed
Over long barrel.
Stock, with the design of an Austin Princess
Trigger guard from a 1970's Star Trek ray gun
30mm piston, to appeal to the overseas market, that they didn't manage to achieve.
But they're rare, and won't come cheap now. Few that have them, will move them on.

Yes, what the flip was that all about? Putting a ray-gun cooling fin cocking aid on it was not a bright idea. If they went with their natural tendancies and made it into a nice semi-target gun they would have sold like... well, like HW77s.
Rolling the FWB 150 non-recoilless out of retirement, putting a parachute and a slightly longer stroke on it would have kicked HW into the long grass.
Oh well.

Very good point Alistair; I had forgotten about the 150. What a lost opportunity that was and over several decades too. I wonder if anyone here modified them for sporting use.
Rgds
