    Bsa Meteor sight base wanted

By any chance, has anyone got a Bsa "bridge style" sight base for a Mk4 Meteor etc in there boxes, at a reasonable price? The one one my Scorpion broke yesterday evening
    Thanks.

These things are unobtainium the fragile plastic means they all go snap. I had to buy a new one from Knibbs for a small fortune. When it arrived I could see it was some kind of pattern part made of updated polymer and not the self-knackering chalk-like 70s material.

Probably cheaper to put a red-dot on it or a cheap 1.5x scope, the latter being in keeping with the period.

I am a bit gutted it broke as it was on the lowest elevation. Those Nibs ones are not cheap! . I was hoping someone might have one in the bottom of the box of bits OR the 3 d printer boys would have been playing about. As I only plink at short ranges, I don't like scopes and, not keen n Red dots, (Most need batteries!). The Webley one (forgot it's name) is ok but with a Christmas cracker build quality, and the Bsa Reflex is ok but not the most accurate and with a pitol, slower than opens..

On the subject of Bsa sights etc, I am trying to put together a Meteor from bits. The trouble is the bits are from different Mks I was thinking of doing a sort of "FAIRGROUND GUN" , with basic sights. I've got a Mk1 barrel that I'd be happy to swap for a Mk2 one. Otherwise, I'm wondering if something like a Cadet Major base might do for cocking up as they do sometimes turn up cheap.

I am waiting for inspiration and ideas to hit me, without ending up with more bits that I will end up looking for bits for to build into a gun! I'm sure you know what I mean.
I'm still after a Cadet and Major stocks to try to reduce the pile of "projects" that have recently appeared on or near the table.

If you are brave and accurate with a file, buy a .22 rimfire dovetail type rearsight off the bay and file a dovetail to pop it on. I think the Ruger 10/22 one is probably a good one, they are £10 new.

I've bought one of those for a future project, my what if idea is to fit it to an arrestor block.
The more I think I know, the more I realise the less I know.

They are made using the original moulds which we had to have refurbished, the price is due to us making small amounts of them compared to the oringal massive amounts BSA would have made

I'm really glad you did, the ones you make are good sturdy parts and I am happy to have bought one knowing it won't break like the original. Thank you.
