    Feinwerkbau P 8X ?

    Anybody running a Feinwerkbau P 8X ?
Had a few shots out of one yesterday, couldn't get my hand into the tiny grip fitted but even so it felt quite nice, certainly looks and feels like quality kit.
Im happy with my K12 but i might add another gun next year so just looking for info on the FWB.

Just looking for feedback, positive or negative, how it compares to others, reliability, servicing, spares, quirks etc.

I have owned several. Never had any problems.

Chris Lacey in the south of England sells and services them. I have purchased pistols, grips, and various front sights from him. He keeps quite a good stock. When I wanted a taller front sight so I could use one pistol with my Accurize laser shooting system. That was special order and it took about a month to arrive.

The pistol shoots amazingly well. Totally recoiless. Has a very good sight system with all the adjustment you could possibly need. Pistol can be set to sit very low in the hand if required. The barrel weight system really works. Four weights are included. The mechanical trigger is very comfortable and crisp. Easy to adjust without having to remove the grip. I would say it’s the best mechanical trigger I have used to date.

I find the factory grip fits me better than any Rink grip owned to date. Believe me. I have purchased over 20 Rink grips to date.

Having owned and shot all the pistols currently available. Steyr EVO 10 and 10e. Pardini K12. Morini 200ei and 162ei and finally Walther LP500 mechanical and electronic trigger. They all have there good and bad. It would take too long to compare each individually and it would only be my personal opinion.

Two things I would like to see improved. Cylinder removal could be easier. It takes a strong grip to remove a full cylinder from the pistol.

Also I find the case too large. Although it’s a very well made case with a combination lock. It doesn’t fit in my bag or rucksack. However, I have adapted a Morini case. That suits me better.

Thank you, i appreciate the info.
The gun i tried had a small grip fitted but he has the medium that it came with so hopefully get a proper session with it soon.
His is the short version, it felt very stable but i think i would want a full size version.
Funny you mention Rink, i had them for my Pardini's and have just changed back to the factory grips on two of them, i like the Pardini factory grips better now that im used to them.
I didn't get a proper look at the grip adjustment but what i did see looks good, easier than removing the grip like on my old Steyr although i haven't really missed the lack of adjustment on the K12, the LP10 was a bit of a fiddle to adjust.
I agree the case is too big, i usually favour a padded slip over the regular size hard cases but the FWB case is just massive.
