Be really interesting to hear what you both think of the new trigger?

I handled one yeaterday and shot it, its a vast improvment on what we thought it would be like. Brand new trigger mechanism with an adjustment grub screw, breech bolt and a slightly reflexed silencer.

I di a quick video on our face book page, its only quick as i "borrowed" the reps demo rifle

Paul, how much difference is there between the Lightening and the Meteor Super? you allowed me to shoot the Meteor last year but I have to say it was a bit of a let down, I just hope these new rifles don't twang and judder like the Meteor did.
Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in

Not to mention the meteor just using the same old gamo trigger unit…

Tuning and fitting a better quality spring will help, even HW don't tuned their airguns before they leave the factory.

In my opinion, the trigger has always been a big issue with BSA’s.

I’ve got a Goldstar which is a great rifle let down by a primitive trigger with a plastic blade.

I had an early Lightning a way back, took the trigger mechanism apart, polished it up and fitted a brass trigger blade. Helped a bit, shame you don’t appear to be able to get metal trigger blades anymore.

Also fitted a Theoben gas ram, that came out sharpish!

Well the Goldstar/Superstar/Supersport Custom all used the same trigger and all 3 on mine are alloy, I happen to think they are excellent triggers to use.

Question: when you say alloy, do you mean the blade? On my Goldstar and Supersport, the plastic blade sits in an alloy mount.

The blade is alloy (or at least some sort of metal), I don't think it's a plastic covered blade, I'm sure it's solid.

It actually shot quite nicely, less twang than i expected. The trigger can be adjusted, and the blade is a nice metal thin type.

I reckon this is going to boot the HW99 off top spot and into the middle of next week! No need for airarms to bring out a new break barrel now!!
Really looking forward to getting mine, can't wait!
