No, theres a 29mm Gamo seal.
They were using it in the old Gamo Magnum, it has been used in the Spanish Lightning/Supersport and it has been used in other guns too.
    Too many airguns!

Unless I'm missing something, BSA don't appear to have it on their own website yet?

I'll have to take a look at that then, Nick; thank you.

Not that I'd be tempted at that sort of money, mind.

As per comment on the other thread, so nice to see you back on the forum, my friend.

I wonder if it's because it's a limited edition, I thought it was a new edition to the range but someone said it was a limited number run?

Did they say that the walnut version would be available as part of a limited run, Pete? Hinting that the beech version would be a full production item. I can't see that they'd go into all the R&D, re-designing, tooling-up, testing etc. to just do a limited run. Do-able for very expensive Daystates etc., maybe, but not for rifles at a more "real world" price point. They'd never recoup their investment.

Possibly just the Walnut stock versions are limited?

Cheers Tone, yes not been active much since last September

Just catching up with the craic

Re the CLX yes I’m in the same boat unfortunately couldn’t justify the price pretty dress aside I don’t mind admitting that I’m very much a trigger snob and any springer over £300 must have an excellent trigger IMHO

Would like to try one though and something maybe for the future especially on the used market.

Here's the comment about limited numbers.

I agree with you, although I do love a bit of Walnut, after reading on the other forum about how difficult they are to strip, I think I may just stick to the earlier ones.

You may have touched on it Tony, Beeza seem to have aimed this new gun at the "slightly upper end of the mid-market share" and not the top end. (TX,P'sport, 77, 80, 97,98 etc.)
Maybe that's where they think it will sell the most ?

Yes Pete, I’m a little sceptical at the minute as most of us dare I say ‘older’ Airgun shooters aren’t that naive and just know there will be a heavily influenced Gamo setup inside/underneath.

I guess from the available current springers on the market when it comes to the trigger we obviously have the Rekord/CD top of the tree and T06 Diana and Quattro Hatsan as being very decent but from what I’ve gathered so far the CLX trigger isn’t anywhere near those x4 mentioned which is a real shame as that will make or break it for me mores the pity.

Even the many gorgeous old theoben rammers I’ve had, I simply couldn’t get on with the trigger unit and they really should have had a far better trigger from factory.

I think the chap that had difficulty in stripping the action wasn't familiar or perhaps it slipped his mind that the pin with the recess needs the spring compressed to remove it on some Bsa's,
He got there in the end and has written some good stuff,
Hopefully with no barrel shims these won't wear too much but I suspect that they will.
