Valuation please with view to sell BSA Mercury magnum 635

This is now listed in collectable sales, this is not where to make the purchase.

Here I have a BSA Mercury Magnum 635 in .25 of course, presume mid 80's
Looking to sell but need a fair valuation, expecting I overpaid again originally
Light marks on the stock, a small ding on the left just back from the stock screw (pic 12) & and pair of light scratches in parallel by the right side at the butt pad (pic 10), but no more than to be expected for the age with a clearly little used gun, I've only ever displayed it.
Blue is very good but a little scratch at the front left of the trigger block (pic 11).
I don't want to start a Dutch auction but invite genuine offers for consideration.

Any sale will have to be collection only with paypal in advance or cash on collection.

Interesting to see the rear sight has been moved to near the trigger block. Was this a factory mod?

No they were originally on the barrel, as it hasn't got the bsa peepsight plate fitted i can't see the point of this mod tbh & wonder how well it's been fitted, threads cut for the screws etc. I'd say £200 for valuation.

Fascinating air rifle: I did not know they made these in .25. Do you think the sights can be re-fixed onto the barrel? I suppose, if so, the fixing screw at the rear could then be used for a recoil stud for a scope.

Not sure about the value. What does it perform at over the chrono, do you know?

That's what the '635' stands for.

So was this model supplied with the sights rear most (as they did with the Meteor Cadet which also left the unused holes plain to see) or do they belong on the barrel at the regular place?
Going to pop them off and see if the fixing point looks factory or modded.

Was certainly hoping the value was a bit more that £200 though.

I assume it is for 6.35 the mm equivalent of .25 ins.
What I don't know is whether it is .243 or .25
The more I think I know, the more I realise the less I know.
