To many guns?
Excuse me Sir but are you certifiable INSANE?!?
Gun cabinet?
*ell no, i´ve got a literal gun room. A bunker if you wish, yeah that and a couple of cabs too, and no it still isn´t filled to the brim. Sorry to say.
Next you know it i´ll have to much ammo too according to some.
*mutters and walks away*
I think the most I've ever owned at one time was 11. (All sub 12 ft lb rifles) What an amateur I was/am!!
After I got my FAC 15 years ago I of course spent/concentrated more on "proper" guns ie. .223, .17 HMR and .22 with a couple of FAC-rated air rifles thrown in. That meant there was little or no point in me owning sub 12 fpe guns I wasn't really using outside of my HFT rifle and a garden plinker so my collection thinned out. Shooting is an expensive hobby so financial constraints played a part as well I suppose. The more money you have to throw in to your hobby - the larger your collection is likely to be I guess(?) I'd liken it to vehicle owners in many respects. Just because you don't drive em every day doesn't mean the pleasure of ownership disappears.![]()
These days I'm down to (sub 12 fpe) 4 air rifles and 2 air pistols. When I retire, that number is likely to increase (hopefully).
As for the "Too many guns?" question. Each to their own I guess but my own opinion is that if you've reached the stage where you don't actually know how many you have, you've probably got "too many".![]()
