    Juvenile fun with HW30.

Years after selling my last HW30, I’ve just obtained another. Bell target at the club tonight, with the stock open sights was the most fun I’ve had shooting in ages. Childish glee, every time the bell rings.

Everyone should have a 30 in their cabinet.

I have been enjoying mine in the last few weeks. Every springer lover should own one

One of the sweetest little springers to shoot. Won’t ever get rid of mine.

A 30 is all the Springer most would ever need imo. Lovely little things

Should probably leave it alone, but the itch to tinker is there. The stock on this one is much nicer than my old one, but I can’t shake the notion that a target stock would suit it. Maybe time to get the penknife out and do some whittling.

Noooo! I am thinking of starting a gummint petition to force CS to make a stock for these!

Do I have too many? Three earlier R7 and 1 HW30 with an early R7 stock. All 177

I like those early R7 stocks. Traditional Monte Carlo style

Also have the bigger brother. Beeman R8. Monte Carlo with a cheekpiece. They only came in 177

I don't think they could make enough of them. Especially at their price which isn't bad.

Maccarri made a very nice HW50/99/R8 (fits all three) stock of which I have two but I don't think he made anything for HW30. Corcoran made them but not making very much now.

I use my one at the Boinger Bash to do the exact same thing ldwink.
My grandson enjoys using it when he comes over to ours.

There certainly is a fan club for the superlative little HW30 on here. Love them to bits. I got my first in 2010 and have four of them now.

As Dave says, and I've said a good few times in the past, unless you actually NEED the higher power outputs, it's all the rifle many of us need. It feels sweeter to shoot, and is more forgiving than any larger "supertuned" 11+ft.lbs. springer. So, so easily accessed accuracy. Light weight. Ridiculously easy cocking. Amazingly accurate.

I've also often thought about a target style / custom stock for one of mine in the past. C'mon Custom Stocks, the punters are out there.

You’d think that with modern CNC machining it shouldn’t be an issue for CS to do one. Knock them out to order. It’s not like the old stock duplicator days still (or is it?).

Tom Davies has done some lovely and different stocks for the HW30 too.

Also, for those who haven't ever looked, have a look on the German AirGhandi World YouTube site. Lots of very good videos there, with a multitude of HWs (amongst others) and his own (I think) Tom Davies stocked HW30.
