How Airguns are made in Pakistan.

Just came across this video on Youtube, and thought I'd share it on here.

Heck, I am perplexed on so many levels but so informative and a good watch. Many thanks for putting this up, our members really should watch it !

Best bit for me was watching the guy bore out the barrel and so many British tools involved as you might have expected.

Love to hear TonyL's appraisal !

I love the stock duplicator. Giant key cutting machine.

Lots of old mills and lathes too...

Nice tight fitting spring guide and a defo non porus weld to the end of the cylinder.

Every gun hand assembled and checked... shame the trigger looks direct though

Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

    Interesting..

No health and safety considerations. They use leather washers and then fire dry shots to condition them. I wonder what group they get at 25yds and what they sell for. Probably they bought the machinery for next to nothing.

In a former life this would have given me nightmares. These days, I can't help but admire the ingenuity.

Safety sandals must be worn at all times.

Blimey, the guns have things like a latch rod, a barrel pivot bolt & locking screw .

Plenty of break barrels out there that don't

    Thanks for the notification !

I enjoyed watching the old time craftsman at work .

Many years ago, I read about a factory in Pakistan, making copies of the old British Lee Enfield 303 rifle .

The lathe was powered by a kid pedalling a bicycle .

The article remarked that the rifles were as good as those produced in the UK, and as accurate !!!

Wonderful the skills some folks have !!

Seeing what goes into making an airgun, and then considering it done to European standards, perhaps the cost of a decent new springer doesn't seem quite so bad.
