Any airgun Clubs around Carlisle / North Cumbria?

I’m in Southrn Scotland, Ive just applied for my Airgun Licence, I though it wont be a problem, just fill in a form, and wait for it to come back. But no, they either want to know where I go for pest control, with a Landowners letter confirming that, or, show Membership of a shooting club. Of course, Scotlands airgun clubs were decimated when the Licence was brought in, so no luck finding one locally, hence I need to find one in the Northern Cumbria area. I have tried the live fire clubs, but none were suitable for air rifle practice.
Do any Clubs exist in the area?

Great club - at Longtown on A7, just south of the Debatable Land. Send me a PM if you want a blether/mair info. Highly rated by Police Scotland, extremely well run and spot on with safety/best practice.

Thanks, I did call in at Gardners, but all he wanted me to do was enrol as a live fire member, at about £200 for the year (Could be £150?), then around £20 for each session plus ammo.
Is there an airgun section there then?
If so, that’d be great, its only 20 minutes away.

Hi Alan, you don’t have to shoot FAC but you do to have to pay the membership fees and day range fees. I pay 25 a month on top of my annual fee and this gives unlimited visits. Not ideal if you only shoot air. I’m also a member at Braidwood in the borders and it’s 60 a year but you get charged 15 an hour to use the airgun range which I think is steep.
