    BSA Lightning CLX.

    Does anyone have one?

Seeing vids of them from the shooting show this weekend. They look good but you can never tell if those reviewing are being completely honest.

Have BSA gone to a barrel axis bolt rather than the pin on the older versions?

Picking mine up from Broadway later this week. As far as I have gleaned, the barrel pivot is indeed a ‘bolt’ and not an axle.

Cheers. I’ll be interested to hear your feedback when you’ve given it an outing.

I’ll certainly have a good look, but I suspect I’ll be giving the woodwork a good few coats of oil before it gets any serious use (assuming it’s like 99% of other walnut airgun stocks; dry as hell).

Recent “chatter” on performance is the the moddy can loosen and the second stage on the trigger can be very stiff. Not sure how common these are ?

The mod is a standard BSA pattern that I’ve got a few of, including on springers (Longbow, HW30 and 95). Not experienced any issue with those loosening. If it does, a suitable size o-ring will help to cushion and ‘grip’ it.

A guy on "the other forum" has made a good thread documenting a lot of the features of the new Lightning.
The gun borrows a lot of its construction details from Gamo, but with upgrades compared to your normal 25mm piston Gamo.
The bolt is a screw, so not the old pin, but noone has really shown us if it compresses the forks like we want it to, or if it is just like other Gamos pinching the barrel against one of the fork sides without closing the other fork.

It has been extensively discussed in this thread:

So it has, thanks for the heads up, Evert.

Not on my radar until I saw a couple of vids this weekend.
