Pre War Webley MKI with holster

    Valuation please.

Pre War MKI in VGC, ser No. 56191, .177, it comes with a holster obviously designed for it, well made but no Webley markings.

Question is, valuation? Separate or together?

Purists you can step in here.

The holster looks like an either genuine or (old) replica Luger paratrooper holster. If it’s genuine, may be worth selling separately on t’bay

Disappointing, I had hoped that it was a MKI holster! From the wear on it it has obviously used as a holster for the MKI so no repro, over 80 years old.

Ho hum, value of the pistol without the holster?

I'm not 100% sure but I think this is a Webley Holster, I've two of these that i've had for many years!

I'd do some research on yours befopre you let it go too cheaply, As others have said, I may be worth as much or more than the pistol!!

Yes, I have one of those and it is a Webley holster, I think it was possibly made for a Webley Tempest.

Yes John, that is an original Webley pistol holster - designed for the Tempest/Hurricane/Typhoon family. I have 3 of them (and an original matching belt!).

And here’s an example of the one with the belt. Got it as NOS from Knibbs a year or two back. Over the years the Webley holsters changed for the Tempest etc, including to the form identical to the black BSA one in the picture. During the Webley International-phase they also imported a number of black canvas ones, which were great for air pistols and also revolvers etc.

Doesn’t help with a value, but it’s of interest regarding the holster https://www.lugerforums.com/threads/...olster.125055/

    A good find.

I have a leather belt holster and belt for the Tempest from back in the day too, albeit it has been a long time since the belt fitted me!

I also have the leather/suede Tempest shoulder holster that was included in 1980s catalogues somewhere. Just need to find it!

Currently looking for Baikal Makarov pistols with the following prefixes to the serial number: 98, T01,
Prefer boxed or cased but will consider loose examples too.

I suppose given the diversity of handgun types in the US, we’ll never really know if the Beeman holsters were Webley-specific, or something already on the market that they happened to fit in nicely.
